The study which has been developed to find the population patterns of all species of snakes present in the study area. So far the study has logged captures of garter snakes and redbellies although other species have been captured in the past. The snakes are having their scale patterns taken 4 ventral scales behind for future reference. The study policy is to minimize handling and stress on the snake the snakes must also be released in the exact same spot in which it was captured.
